How to become a bidder
As a partner of MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG with its subsidiaries and production plants, you are working together with an innovative group of companies that is nevertheless conscious of its traditional standing and global reputation. We aim to please our customers, and to this end we place the emphasis on the latest technology, safety, economy, environmental compatibility, design and ergonomics. We make the same demands on our supplier. In order to realise these objectives, we cooperate closely with our suppliers in Simultaneous Engineering.

Supplier relations are to be seen amid the the conflicting interdependences between value and scope of development of the parts to be supplied. In conjunction with the quality of cooperation this leads to the following categories:
Stage 1 – Supplier of standardised parts and parts made to drawing
In this category, you satisfy the requirements that we normally make of suppliers. As a rule we conclude one-year master agreements with you. Our relationship to you is reviewed once a year.

Stage 2 – Part developer
You have proved to be a reliable series supplier and optimise our business relationship by suggesting improvements to the benefit of both sides. Against this background we conclude a master agreement with you which has a term of several years and covers interesting quantities.

Stage 3 – System developer
You are a strategically important partner for MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG and conribute your technical expertise to our business relationship. You are involved in the development of products. We conclude a development contract with you that covers the volume of deliveries for the jointly developed product.

Procedure for submitting bids
In principle any potential supplier can view all requirements and quantities in open enquiries. If you wish to submit an offer, however, registration is necessary. This is the procedure for submitting an offer:
1. Viewing the current requirements
2. Selecting an enquiry for which you want to bid
3. Filling in the offer form for the items you want to offer (for registered bidders or supplirs)
4. Submitting an offer (for registered bidders or suppliers)

Your offer is then saved and the person in charge is informed direct by E-mail that your offer has arrived. The offers are then grouped together.
