NEOPLAN is one of the most innovative companies in the bus sector. It was founded by Gottlob Auwärter in 1935 as a factory manufacturing bodywork in Stuttgart-Möhringen and soon began to focus on the development and production of buses. In 2001, MAN Nutzfahrzeuge took over Gottlob Auwärter GMBH & Co KG. Today, MAN Nutzfahrzeuge is responsible for the development, production and distribution of NEOPLAN and MAN buses.
MAN Nutzfahrzeuge meets the market’s requirements and its clients’ desires by means of a clear two-brand strategy and a nuanced positioning of its brands. Today there are NEOPLAN buses for all segments – from touring coaches, inter-city and city buses to airport and environmentally friendly trolley buses.

For years, the NEOPLAN buses have garnered prizes from a wide variety of committees. Recently, journalists of the expert press named the NEOPLAN Starliner the “Coach of the Year 2006”. The prize was awarded to MAN Nutzfahrzeuge for the third time in a row.
