Procurement at the MAN Nutzfahrzeug Group integrates Purchasing and Logistics and is an essential factor in the Group's competitiveness. Our aims in procurement are dictated by the demands and the satisfaction of our customers. In tackling this constant challenge we work exclusively with suppliers who in the medium and long term guarantee us the best combination of function, price, delivery and quality. In our partnership-based relations with our suppliers and by a high degree of discipline in the procurement processes we want to achieve the lowest rate of missing parts and the smallest stock range. The goods and services purchased by the MAN Nutzfahrzeug Group are worth approx. € 4.2 billion. Of this approx. € 3.4 billion goes for production material and approx. € 0.8 billion is spent on general purchases. The worldwide purchasing volume from outside Germany amounts to approx. 35 % for production material and approx. 16 % for general purchases.
