The Exact MAN Team at the Dakar Rally 2007
In this year's Dakar Rally the "flying Dutchmen" have proved their mettle once again: the first race TGA with starting number 501 was as before driven by Hans Stacey from the Netherlands and completed the 29th rally with a superb overall victory. Stacey (48), who is also co-owner of the Exact-MAN Team, is one of the most experienced rally drivers with a large number of national and international successes to his credit as a driver of Group N and Group A rally cars.
The Exact-MAN Team was able to engage Philippe Jacquot to pilot the second TGA race truck.
Frenchman Jacquot is an experienced "Dakariste" and competed in the rally for the first time on an MAN in 2002. One year later he crossed the finishing line in Dakar in sixth place overall. On this year's tour he once again managed to pull off an excellent sixth place.
The assistance vehicle for the Exact-MAN team was the new TGA 18.480, which Franz Echter and his team drove to tenth place.
